DJI Warranty and After-Sales Service Policies

In field operations, downtime costs more than time—it can mean missed data, delayed inspections, or interrupted missions.

Dronefly Care Plus protects against accidental damage and provides a fast, direct replacement process through Dronefly’s dedicated enterprise support team.

Coverage Overview

  • Coverage Term: 13 months from the date of shipment
  • Coverage Scope: Accidental damage from pilot error, collisions, drops, water exposure, or signal interference during normal flight operation
  • Replacement Service: One replacement unit (new or refurbished) within the coverage period
  • Claim Process: Report incidents within 7 days and return the product using the shipping label provided by Dronefly Support
  • Eligibility: Coverage must be purchased before the item leaves Dronefly's warehouse
  • Exclusions: Theft, loss, intentional damage, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear that does not affect performance

Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

This Extended Warranty Policy ("Policy") is provided by Dronefly Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") to customers purchasing eligible equipment ("Covered Product"). This Policy offers extended protection beyond the manufacturer's limited warranty.

2. Coverage Scope

Included:

  • Accidental damage caused by pilot error, collision, drop, water exposure, or signal interference
  • Internal malfunctions arising from covered operational incidents

Excluded:

  • Intentional or negligent damage, misuse, or unauthorized modification
  • Theft, loss, or disappearance of the product
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality (scratches, scuffs, etc.)
  • Normal wear and tear, consumables (propellers, batteries, cables)
  • Damage resulting from operation outside manufacturer's stated guidelines

3. Term of Coverage

This Policy remains in effect for thirteen (13) months from the date the Covered Product ships from Dronefly. Coverage automatically terminates after that period, even if no replacement has been made.

4. Validity Conditions

To remain valid, this Policy must be purchased before the product leaves Dronefly's facility. Coverage is void if:

  • The product is used outside its intended purpose as defined by the manufacturer
  • Unauthorized firmware or hardware modifications are performed
  • The product is resold, rented, or transferred commercially
  • The product is used illegally or in violation of local regulations

5. Replacement Terms

During the active coverage period, customers are eligible for one (1) replacement. Upon claim approval, Dronefly will provide a new or refurbished unit of the same model (if available). If not available, Dronefly may substitute an equivalent unit of comparable performance and value, not exceeding the original purchase price.

6. Claim Process

  1. Notify Dronefly Support (support@dronefly.com) within 7 days of the incident, providing your order number, flight details, and description of what occurred.
  2. Dronefly will issue a claim number and prepaid return label.
  3. Ship the affected product to Dronefly within 7 days of receiving the label.
  4. Inspection and claim approval typically take up to 14 business days. Once approved, your replacement will be shipped promptly.

7. Limitation of Liability

Dronefly's liability under this Policy is limited to one replacement per Policy term. Liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Covered Product. Dronefly is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost data, downtime, or opportunity costs).

8. Force Majeure

Dronefly is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, labor disputes, or governmental actions.

9. Transferability

This Policy applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

10. Severability

If any portion of this Policy is deemed unenforceable, the remaining sections shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between Dronefly Inc. and the purchaser regarding extended warranty coverage and supersedes any prior agreements or representations, oral or written.
